Today's WORSHIP QUOTE is a glorious hymn that we sing every Easter Sunday morning (since 2004). How wonderful to affirm the reality of the empty tomb and God's glorious victory over sin and death. If this text is new to you, take a listen to Kristyn Getty singing it on this YouTube clip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=18_PDY22Sck

SEE, WHAT A MORNING!

See, what a morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce, "Christ is risen!"
See God's salvation plan,
Wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

See Mary weeping, "Where is He laid?"
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name;
It's the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty.
Honor and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned with pow'r and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives: Christ is risen from the dead!

— Words and Music by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, (RESURRECTION HYMN) © 2003 Kingsway Thankyou Music. If this is new to you, take a listen to Kristyn Getty singing it on this YouTube clip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=18_PDY22Sck. Piano music, orchestrations, tour schedules, and recordings for the Getty/Townend hymns are available at www.gettymusic.com. Highly recommended. Our church uses over thirty of these Getty/Townend hymns in our ministry of Bible-rich congregational song.

About this song, Stuart Townend wrote: "I really wanted to convey the immediacy of the Easter morning experience, and how that morning changed history forever. The third verse is a response of praise as we realize the amazing consequence of Christ's resurrection for our lives, drawing us into relationship with the triune God."

HEALTH UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST
FOR CHIP STAM, CANCER PATIENT
www.carlstam.org/stemcelldrive
=====================================

Dear Praying Friends,

Here is the best place for information about the stem cell drive: www.carlstam.org/stemcelldrive. Maybe someone in your circle of acquaintances would be willing to "get a kit" or "give a kit" in order to save lives.

Longer journal entries and some new photos about my cancer treatment are available at www.caringbridge.org/visit/carlstam (click on "journal" or "photos").

FIGHTING HARD
Because of an aggressive recurrence of my lymphoma, I was put in the hospital for rigorous chemotherapy (March 29-April 1). God was very gracious to give me strength (and the doctor's permission) to lead the congregational singing and choir anthems at our church on Easter Sunday morning. What a gift! What a blessing! Every day we go to the clinic for lab tests and growth factor injections--all to try to get my body in remission with a strong enough blood count so that we can proceed with the stem cell transplant. If my blood counts rebound a bit, I will be in the hospital again on April 13-15 for a second round of these same chemo drugs. I am VERY weak. Doris is a champion.

We are still fighting. Please keep praying with us; pray for success of this current treatment; pray for a very wise decision about the donor and for protection from Graft vs. Host Disease. Don't forget to care for the cancer patients in your families, churches, neighborhoods, and places of employment. Pray that our stem cell drive will provide many, many cancer patients with life-saving options for their treatment.

In Christ's perfect love,

Chip Stam
