FIGHTING HARD Because of an aggressive recurrence of my lymphoma, I was put in the hospital for rigorous chemotherapy (March 29-April 1). God was very gracious to give me strength (and the doctor's permission) to lead the congregational singing and choir anthems at our church on Easter Sunday morning. What a gift! What a blessing! Every day we go to the clinic for lab tests and growth factor injections--all to try to get my body in remission with a strong enough blood count so that we can proceed with the stem cell transplant. If my blood counts rebound a bit, I will be in the hospital again on April 13-15 for a second round of these same chemo drugs. I am VERY weak. Doris is a champion. We are still fighting. Please keep praying with us; pray for success of this current treatment; pray for a very wise decision about the donor and for protection from Graft vs. Host Disease. Don't forget to care for the cancer patients in your families, churches, neighborhoods, and places of employment. Pray that our stem cell drive will provide many, many cancer patients with life-saving options for their treatment.
