The Worship Quote of the Week for (03/25/2003):

Much Ado about Nothing,
Today’s WORSHIP QUOTE is from the most book recent book by my friend and
colleague, Don Hustad. If you have never heard Dr. Hustad speak, I invite you
to pay a visit to www.sbts.edu/icw and click on one of the lectures listed
there. If you live within a short drive of Louisville, please come hear him
this week on Tuesday and Thursday, March 25 & 27, as he presents lectures for
the Institute for Christian Worship. (Schedule of lectures listed below.)

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
I must remind those who insist on radical revisions of worship forms and
styles that all the changes are "much ado about nothing" unless congregations
are truly worshiping God in spirit. I must also insist that the best
performance of traditional liturgy is meaningless unless participating
worshipers measure up to the great commandment to love God. For both groups,
that includes loving our neighbors as ourselves, even if we cannot agree
about proper worship styles and music!
